...Okay, so it wasn't an "official" blizzard according to the weather gurus... but we got 13.6" in 24 hours... and that is A LOT for this area! I love the snow... I love to go outside after it has just snowed (even to shovel!) because everything is clean, and quiet, and "new." One of our pastors said it brilliantly last Sunday... that when it snows, "it's almost as if God has covered up all of the Earth's imperfections with his white blanket - and everything looks new and reborn."So while you're out shoveling... or pulling your kids around on their sleds... or working tirelessly on a snowfort that will be knocked down by your kids even after you slaved and slaved over it... take a moment to breathe in the clean, chilly air - and know that just like God can mask the imperfections of the world with his blanket of snow, He can mask the imperfections of your heart and mind with a blanket of His love.
